4. Setup Guide

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment latch at the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert 8 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely to maintain waterproofing.

4.2. Micro SD Card Insertion

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert the provided 32GB Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, push the card in again until it springs out.

4.3. Mounting the Camera

The camera can be mounted using the included strap or mounting accessories.

Tip: Position the camera at a height of approximately 1-2 meters (3-6 feet) and aim it towards the area you wish to monitor. Ensure there are no obstacles directly in front of the PIR sensors.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off and Mode Selection

The camera typically has a switch for OFF, TEST, and ON modes.

5.2. Menu Navigation and Settings

In TEST mode, use the control buttons to navigate the menu on the 2.4-inch LCD screen. Common settings include:

5.3. WiFi and App Control

The VANBAR trail camera supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity for remote control via a smartphone app (VENARI app).

  1. Download the "VENARI" app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Ensure Bluetooth and WiFi are enabled on your smartphone.
  3. Open the VENARI app and tap "Connect device WIFI".
  4. Allow necessary permissions (location, media access) when prompted.
  5. Select the corresponding Bluetooth name (e.g., "Hownic").
  6. Choose "Auto Connect" to automatically connect to the camera's WiFi hotspot.
  7. Wait approximately 60 seconds for the app to establish the WiFi connection.
  8. Once connected, you can control the camera, view live footage, and download media directly to your smartphone within the 10-15 meter range.

5.4. Trigger Speed and Detection Angle
