4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting the Chainsaw
To start the chainsaw, first pull back the chain kickback brake baffle. Then, push forward the lock-off button and press the trigger switch simultaneously. This triple protection mechanism ensures user safety and prevents accidental starts.
4.2 Cutting Techniques
Always maintain a firm grip with both hands on the chainsaw handles. Ensure stable footing. When cutting, allow the chainsaw to do the work; do not apply excessive force. For optimal performance and safety, use the chainsaw for its intended purpose, such as cutting wood and trimming branches.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your MAXLANDER chainsaw.
- Chain Sharpening: Keep the chain sharp for efficient and safe cutting. A dull chain can cause kickback and strain the motor.
- Bar Maintenance: Periodically clean the guide bar groove and oil holes. Rotate the guide bar regularly to ensure even wear.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the chainsaw body, guide bar, and chain. Remove sawdust and debris from the motor vents.
- Oil Level: Always check the oil level before and during extended use. Refill as necessary to ensure proper lubrication of the bar and chain.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chainsaw does not start | Battery not charged; Safety features not engaged correctly. | Charge battery fully; Ensure chain brake is disengaged and lock-off button is pressed simultaneously with trigger. |
| Chain not cutting efficiently | Dull chain; Incorrect chain tension. | Sharpen or replace chain; Adjust chain tension using the tool-free system. |
| Chainsaw overheats and shuts off | Overloading the motor; Insufficient lubrication. | Reduce cutting load; Check and refill bar and chain oil. Allow tool to cool down. |
| Chain comes off the bar frequently | Loose chain tension; Worn guide bar or chain. | Adjust chain tension; Inspect and replace worn components if necessary. |
