1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the PAUTIX RF Remote Dimmer. This device is designed to provide convenient control over single color LED strip lights, offering brightness adjustment, dynamic modes, and timer functions. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of your RF remote dimmer.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to connect your PAUTIX RF Remote Dimmer:

1. Ensure all components are powered off before making connections.
2. Connect your single color LED strip light to the output connector of the mini RF controller box.
3. Connect a compatible DC 12V-24V power supply (not included) to the input connector of the mini RF controller box.
4. Ensure the plastic tab is pulled out from the remote control's battery compartment before first use.

4. Operating Instructions

The 18-key RF remote control allows for comprehensive management of your LED strip lights. Refer to the diagram below for button functions:

• ON/OFF: Power on or off the LED strip lights.
• Brightness Up/Down (Sun icons): Increase or decrease the brightness level (10 levels, 0-100%).
• Static Lighting Buttons (Book, Coffee, Star icons): Pre-set brightness levels for different moods (e.g., Working 100%, Leisure 50%, Night 20%).
• Dynamic Modes (FADE, JUMP, STROBE): Cycle through 8 different dynamic lighting effects.
• SPEED +/-: Adjust the speed of the selected dynamic mode (8 levels).
• DIY1/DIY2: Reserved for custom settings or future functions.
• Timer Buttons (0.5H, 1H, 3H): Set the LED strip to automatically turn off after 0.5, 1, or 3 hours.

5. Pairing Instructions

The PAUTIX RF remote supports both 1-to-1 pairing and 1-to-many control.

5.1. 1 to 1 Pairing (One Remote Controls One Controller)

To pair one remote with a single controller:

1. Power on the LED strip light and controller.
2. Within 5 seconds of switching on the power, press the "SPEED+" and "SPEED-" buttons simultaneously on the remote for 1-3 seconds.
3. The LED strip lights will flicker to indicate successful pairing.

5.2. Cancel 1 to 1 Pairing (For One Remote to Control Multiple Controllers)

If you wish for one remote to control multiple controllers (group control), you must first cancel any existing 1-to-1 pairing:

1. Ensure the LED strip light and controller are powered on.
2. Press and hold the "OFF" button on the remote for 5 seconds.
3. The LED strip light will flash once to confirm that the pairing has been canceled. The remote can now control multiple controllers that are not specifically paired.

6. Memory Function

The PAUTIX RF Remote Dimmer features a memory function. When the LED lights are switched off and then on again, the controller will automatically recall the last brightness level and mode setting that was in use before shutdown. This eliminates the need to reset your preferred settings each time.

7. Timer Function

To activate the timer function, simply press one of the dedicated timer buttons on the remote:

• Press "0.5H" to set the LED strip to turn off automatically after 30 minutes.
• Press "1H" to set the LED strip to turn off automatically after 1 hour.
• Press "3H" to set the LED strip to turn off automatically after 3 hours.

The LED strip will turn off once the selected time duration has elapsed.

8. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your PAUTIX RF Remote Dimmer:

• Battery Replacement: The remote control uses a CR2025 3V button cell battery. If the remote's range decreases or it becomes unresponsive, replace the battery.
• Cleaning: Clean the remote and controller with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Environment: Keep the controller and remote in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your RF Remote Dimmer, please refer to the following common solutions:

• LED Strip Not Turning On:
  • Check if the power supply is correctly connected and functional.
  • Ensure the LED strip is securely connected to the controller's output.
  • Verify the remote control battery has power and the plastic tab is removed.
• Remote Not Responding:
  • Ensure the remote is within the 15m (49ft) operating range.
  • Replace the CR2025 battery in the remote.
  • Re-pair the remote with the controller as described in Section 5.1.
• Brightness Not Adjusting or Flickering:
  • Confirm that your LED strip is a single color type and operates within DC 12V-24V.
  • Ensure the total wattage of your LED strip does not exceed the controller's maximum capacity (36W for 12V, 72W for 24V).
  • Check for loose connections between the power supply, controller, and LED strip.
