4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the portable freezer from its packaging.
- Inspect the appliance for any signs of damage during transit. If damaged, do not use and contact customer support.
- Remove all internal packing materials, including any protective films or tapes.
- Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 6 hours before plugging it in, especially if it was transported horizontally. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
4.2 Power Connection
The Alpicool TAW45 supports multiple power supply options:
- 12V/24V DC (Car/Truck): Connect the DC power cord to the appliance's DC input port and then to your vehicle's 12V or 24V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top surface of the unit and features an LCD display and control buttons.
- Power Button: Turns the unit ON/OFF.
- Temperature Adjustment Buttons (+/-): Increases or decreases the target temperature.
- Mode Button: Switches between MAX (fast cooling) and ECO (energy-saving) modes.

5.2 Setting Temperature
- Press the Power button to turn on the unit.
- If your model has dual zones, press the Zone Selection button to choose the compartment you wish to adjust (L for Left, R for Right).
- Use the + or - buttons to set your desired temperature. The display will show the target temperature.
- The unit will automatically begin cooling to the set temperature.
5.3 Cooling Modes (MAX/ECO)
Press the Mode button to toggle between:
- MAX Mode: Provides maximum cooling power for rapid temperature reduction. Ideal for initial cooling or when ambient temperatures are high.
- ECO Mode: Operates with reduced power consumption for energy efficiency. Suitable for maintaining temperature once the desired level is reached.
5.4 Car Battery Protection
This feature prevents your vehicle's battery from draining completely. You can select one of three levels:
- High: Highest protection, unit cuts off at a higher voltage. Recommended for vehicle starter batteries.
- Med: Medium protection, standard setting for most uses.
- Low: Lowest protection, unit cuts off at a lower voltage. Recommended for deep cycle auxiliary batteries.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

- Use the drain plug to remove any accumulated water or spills from the interior.
- Ensure the ventilation grilles are free from dust and debris to maintain efficient cooling. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
