3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Hub Requirement

A TREATLIFE Zigbee Hub is required for the motion sensor to function. Ensure your hub is set up and connected to your home network before proceeding with sensor installation.

3.2 Pairing the Motion Sensor

  1. Ensure your TREATLIFE Zigbee Hub is powered on and connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the TREATLIFE smartphone application.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select the motion sensor from the device list.
  4. Activate the pairing mode on the motion sensor as indicated in the app (usually by pressing a reset button or removing a battery tab).
  5. The app will confirm successful pairing.

3.3 Installation

The motion sensor can be installed wirelessly using the provided double-sided adhesive pad. No tools are required for mounting.

  • Choose a Location: Select a location within the 20-foot detection range and 120° wide-angle coverage where motion detection is desired. Consider areas like entryways, hallways, or rooms.
  • Clean Surface: Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and smooth for optimal adhesion.
  • Attach Adhesive: Peel the protective film from one side of the double-sided adhesive pad and apply it firmly to the back of the motion sensor.
  • Mount Sensor: Peel the protective film from the other side of the adhesive pad and press the motion sensor firmly onto the chosen wall or surface. Hold for a few seconds to ensure secure attachment.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Motion Detection

Once installed and paired, the motion sensor will detect movement within its specified range and angle. This detection can be used to trigger various actions configured in the TREATLIFE app.

4.2 Smart Home Automation

Utilize the TREATLIFE app to create automation routines based on motion detection:

  • Lighting Control: Set lights to turn on automatically when motion is detected in a room and turn off after a period of no motion.
  • Security Alerts: Configure the sensor to send notifications to your smartphone or trigger an alarm through the hub when unexpected motion is detected.
  • Night Light Mode: Create a scene where specific lights (e.g., low-level hallway lights) activate upon motion during nighttime hours.
  • Energy Saving: Leverage the sensor's ability to detect optimal daylight levels to prevent lights from turning on unnecessarily, further saving energy.

4.3 Voice Control Integration

The motion sensor is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. After linking your TREATLIFE account to these platforms, you can manage the sensor and its associated routines using voice commands.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

The motion sensor is powered by one CR123A battery, which typically lasts 2 years or more. The TREATLIFE app will notify you when the battery level is low.

  1. Gently open the sensor casing to access the battery compartment.
  2. Remove the old CR123A battery.
  3. Insert a new CR123A battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the sensor casing securely.

5.2 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the sensor's lens and casing.

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the sensor.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the device.

6. Troubleshooting
