Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Artist hand Heavy Duty Hydraulic Reclining Salon Chair. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure safe and proper functionality.

Setup and Assembly

The Artist hand salon chair is designed for easy installation and can typically be assembled in 15 minutes. Detailed steps are provided below. A power tool can speed up the process.

Step 1: Install Pump and Base

Attach the hydraulic pump to the circular chrome steel base. Secure it by tightening the 6 nuts and screws provided.

Install the foot lever onto the left side of the hydraulic pump's protrusion. Ensure the lever is bent downwards.

Step 2: Assemble Armrests to Seat Cushion

Remove the screws on both armrests. Secure the L-shaped iron brackets to the armrests using the screws. Make sure the armrest with the recline control is installed on the right side, aligning with the gas bar under the seat.

Step 3: Connect Backrest to the Seat

Loosen the two embedded screws on the backrest. Attach the backrest and seat using the two screws, ensuring they are aligned. Tighten the two small screws on top to secure the connection.

Step 4: Assemble Recliner Gas Pump

Remove the fixed bolt from the gas pump. Align the gas pump with the air rod and fix it with the pin. Remove the screw on the other end of the air rod. Align the holes and tighten the screws. Finally, tighten the middle screw to ensure a stable backrest.

Step 5: Attach Foot Pedal with Chair Body

Attach the footrest pedal to the chair body. Remove the two screws on the bottom of the seat. Tighten them again to secure the foot pedal and chair body. Put the assembled seat onto the hydraulic pump, inserting it into the slot.

Last Step: Insert Headrest into Backrest

Insert the adjustable headrest into the top of the backrest. It can be adjusted or removed completely if desired.

Operating Instructions

• Height Adjustment: Use the bottom lever to adjust the chair's height. The chair can be raised or lowered by up to 5 inches.
• Reclining Function: The backrest reclines up to 135 degrees. Use the recline control lever (located on the right armrest) to adjust the angle.
• 360° Swivel: The chair features a 360-degree swivel function for easy maneuverability.
• Adjustable Headrest: The headrest can be adjusted vertically to accommodate different user heights or removed entirely.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: For the faux leather upholstery, use a leather cleaner and wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the material.
• General Care: Regularly check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Periodically inspect the hydraulic pump for smooth operation.
• Footrest: Advise clients not to stand on the footrest as it is designed for resting feet, not supporting full body weight.

Troubleshooting

• Chair not Pumping Up/Down: Ensure the hydraulic lever is fully engaged. If the issue persists, check for any obstructions or consult the manufacturer.
• Rubber Ring at Base Comes Off: This is a minor issue; simply re-attach the rubber ring to the base.
• Stiff Swivel: The swivel mechanism may be stiff initially. Regular use should loosen it. Applying a silicone-based lubricant (avoiding contact with upholstery) may help if needed.
• Chair Not Reclining: Check the recline control lever and ensure it is functioning correctly. Verify that the gas pump connection is secure as per assembly instructions.
