Maintenance

Battery Care:

The AirTurn QUAD500 features a long-lasting rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery. To maximize battery lifespan:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Recharge the battery periodically if stored for a long time to prevent deep discharge.

Cleaning:

Wipe the exterior of the pedal with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from any power source before cleaning.

Troubleshooting

Connectivity Issues:

  • Device Not Pairing: Ensure the pedal is charged and powered on. Check your device's Bluetooth settings to confirm it's in pairing mode. Try restarting both the pedal and your device.
  • Intermittent Disconnections (especially Windows 10):
    1. Update or reinstall Bluetooth drivers on your PC.
    2. If using a desktop, ensure external Bluetooth antennas are connected. Consider a compatible Bluetooth dongle for older PCs.
    3. Disable Bluetooth networking and other wireless connections (if not needed) to reduce interference.
    4. In the AirTurn Manager app, set the pedal to "closed" pairing mode.
    5. Check for and install beta firmware updates via the AirTurn Manager app.
    6. Adjust power settings in the AirTurn Manager app to "performance" mode with a longer timeout.

Pedal Not Responding in App:

  • Verify the pedal is successfully paired with your device.
  • Check the settings within your specific application to ensure the pedals are correctly mapped to the desired functions (e.g., page forward, page back).
  • Use the AirTurn Manager app to confirm the pedal's programmed commands match your application's requirements.
