5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Unit Placement

  3. Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the exhaust outlet on the back of the air conditioner unit.
  4. Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the adapter on the window sealing plate. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leakage.
  5. Close the window securely against the sealing plate to minimize air infiltration.

5.3 Drainage Setup (for Dehumidifier Mode)

While the unit has an auto-evaporation system, continuous drainage is recommended for prolonged dehumidifier mode use or in very humid conditions.

  • Locate the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit (usually lower).
  • Connect the provided drainage hose to this port.
  • Direct the other end of the hose into a suitable drain or a large collection bucket, ensuring the hose is sloped downwards for gravity drainage.

6.2 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.
  • Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through Cooling, Dehumidifying (Dry), and Fan modes.
  • Temperature Adjustment: In Cooling mode, use the UP/DOWN arrows to set the desired temperature (61°F-88°F / 16°C-31°C).
  • Fan Speed: Press the SPEED button to select between two fan speeds (Low, High).
  • Timer Function: Press the TIMER button to set a 24-hour auto turn on/off schedule. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the time.
  • Sleep Mode: Press the SLEEP button to activate sleep mode, which gradually increases the set temperature and reduces fan speed for quiet operation.
  • Water Full Reminder (W.F): If the internal water tank is full, the display will show 'W.F' and the unit will stop operating. Refer to the Maintenance section for drainage instructions.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Filter Cleaning

The unit features a washable 3-in-1 filter. The 'Check Filter' indicator light will illuminate when it's time to clean the filter.

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Locate the filter access panel (usually at the back or side).
  3. Carefully remove the filter.
  4. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, or wash it gently with warm water and mild detergent.
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
  6. Once the filter is clean and dry, reinsert it and plug in the unit. The 'Check Filter' light should reset.

If the 'W.F' indicator appears, the internal water tank needs to be drained.

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Place a shallow pan or bucket under the lower drainage port on the back of the unit.
  3. Remove the rubber stopper from the drainage port.

  5. Once drained, securely replace the rubber stopper.
