1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in injury or property damage.

• The ladder is tested and certified by EN14183.
• Maximum load capacity is 150 kg (330 lbs). Do not exceed this weight.
• Ensure the ladder is fully opened and the safety hook is automatically locked into place before climbing.
• Place the ladder on a firm, level surface. Ensure all four rubber feet are in full contact with the ground.
• Do not use the ladder on slippery surfaces.
• Maintain three points of contact (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand) when climbing or descending.
• Do not overreach. Keep your body centered between the side rails.
• Only one person should be on the ladder at a time.
• Do not use the ladder if any part is damaged or missing.
• Keep children and pets away from the ladder during use.

4. Setup and Unfolding

The KINGRACK 2-Step Ladder comes pre-assembled. Follow these steps to prepare it for use:

1. Place the folded ladder on a flat, stable surface.
2. Grasp the top handrail and gently pull the front and back sections apart.
3. Continue opening until the safety hook automatically locks into place. Ensure the hook is fully engaged before stepping onto the ladder.
4. Verify that all four feet are firmly on the ground and the ladder is stable.

5. Operating Instructions

Use the ladder for reaching high areas safely:

1. Always face the ladder when climbing up or down.
2. Maintain a firm grip on the handrail.
3. Ensure your shoes are clean and dry to maximize the non-slip properties of the pedals.
4. Do not carry heavy objects that might cause you to lose balance.
5. When reaching, keep your belt buckle within the side rails of the ladder.

6. Folding for Storage

To fold the ladder for compact storage:

1. Ensure no one is on the ladder and it is clear of any obstructions.
2. Locate the safety hook mechanism (refer to Figure 3).
3. Gently pull the safety hook to disengage the lock.
4. Push the front and back sections of the ladder together until it is fully folded.
5. Store the folded ladder in a dry, safe place. Its slim profile allows it to fit in narrow spaces.

7. Maintenance

• Clean the ladder regularly with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Inspect the ladder before each use for any signs of damage, wear, or loose components.
• Ensure the rubber feet are intact and securely attached.
• Store the ladder in a dry environment to prevent corrosion, although it is rust-resistant.

8. Troubleshooting

• Issue: Ladder feels unstable.
  Solution: Ensure the ladder is placed on a completely flat and firm surface. Verify that the safety hook is fully engaged and all four rubber feet are making full contact with the ground.
• Issue: Difficulty folding/unfolding.
  Solution: Check for any obstructions in the folding mechanism. Ensure the safety hook is properly disengaged (when folding) or fully engaged (when unfolding). Do not force the mechanism.
