1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your LENCENT 2 Prong Surge Protector Power Strip. This device is designed to convert a standard 2-prong polarized wall outlet into a 3-prong grounding outlet, offering multiple power connections and surge protection for your electronic devices. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation.
2. Product Features
- 6-in-1 Outlet Splitter: Equipped with 6 wide-spaced AC outlets, converting a polarized 2-prong outlet to a 3-prong grounding outlet. This allows simultaneous power for up to 6 devices, ideal for non-grounded outlets in older homes.
- Wall Mountable & Secure Design: Includes a grounding screw to secure the plug extender to any 2-prong wall outlet. This ensures a stable connection, reduces movement, and minimizes potential electrical hazards. Note: Grounding is only effective if the existing wall socket is already grounded. If not, this extender will not provide grounding.
- 3-Sided Wide Space Design: The 6 AC outlets (15A/1875W Max) are arranged on three sides, allowing bulky plugs to be accommodated without blocking adjacent outlets. Suitable for various electronics like mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
- 1728 Joules Surge Protection: Features three complementary surge protection circuits (TVS, MOV, GDT) with a response speed of less than 1ns and a minimum energy-absorbing capacity of 1728 Joules. A 'SURGE PROTECTED' indicator light confirms active protection.
- Superior Safety: Constructed with an FCC-certified, fire-resistant PC shell (rated up to 1382°F). Provides comprehensive protection against overloads, short circuits, overcurrent, overvoltage, and overheating. The polarized plug ensures correct polarity alignment for appliances and house wiring.

3. Safety Information
To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please observe the following safety guidelines:
- Do not exceed the maximum load of 15A/1875W.
- This device is intended for indoor use only.
- Keep away from water and high humidity environments.
- Do not disassemble or modify the device.
- Ensure the grounding screw is properly installed for optimal stability and potential grounding benefits (if the wall outlet is already grounded).
- If the 'SURGE PROTECTED' indicator light is off, the surge protection feature may be compromised. Replace the unit.
4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your LENCENT Power Strip:
- Identify a 2-Prong Wall Outlet: Locate a standard 2-prong wall outlet where you wish to expand power options.
- Remove Existing Outlet Cover (Optional but Recommended): For a more secure and flush fit, you may remove the center screw and the faceplate of the existing wall outlet.
- Plug in the Power Strip: Align the two prongs of the LENCENT Power Strip with the slots of your wall outlet and push firmly until it is seated.
- Install Grounding Screw: Insert the provided grounding screw into the center hole of the power strip and tighten it into the wall outlet's screw hole. Continue tightening until the power strip is firmly secured against the wall. This step is crucial for stability and to potentially establish a ground connection if the wall outlet is already grounded.

5. Operating Instructions
Once installed, the LENCENT Power Strip is ready for use:
- Connect Devices: Plug your 2-prong or 3-prong devices into any of the 6 available AC outlets.
- Surge Protection Indicator: The 'SURGE PROTECTED' indicator light (usually blue) will illuminate when the surge protection is active and functioning correctly.
- Power On/Off: The unit does not have a separate power switch; power is supplied directly from the wall outlet.

6. Maintenance
To maintain your LENCENT Power Strip and ensure its longevity:
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power strip from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or sprays.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the power strip for any signs of damage, such as cracks, frayed wires, or discoloration. If damage is found, discontinue use and replace the unit.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the power strip in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Power to Devices:
- Ensure the power strip is firmly plugged into the wall outlet.
- Check if the wall outlet itself is functioning by plugging in another device directly.
- Verify that the connected devices are properly plugged into the power strip.
- 'SURGE PROTECTED' Indicator Light is Off:
- This indicates that the surge protection components may have absorbed a power surge and are no longer providing protection. The unit will still function as a power strip, but surge protection is compromised. It is recommended to replace the unit to ensure continued surge protection.
- Loose Fit in Wall Outlet:
- Ensure the central grounding screw is tightened securely.
- If the wall outlet itself is worn or damaged, consult a qualified electrician for repair or replacement.
