4. Maintenance

4.2 Cleaning
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and dry. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents.
4.3 Battery Information
The watch is powered by 1 Lithium Metal battery, which is included. Battery life varies depending on usage, especially frequent use of the backlight and alarms. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is an indication that the battery needs replacement. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified technician to maintain water resistance.
5. Troubleshooting
- Incorrect Time/Date: Ensure the correct city code is selected for your home city. Perform the "Setting the Time and Date" procedure (Section 2.2).
- Analog Hands Do Not Match Digital Time: Perform the "Hand Home Position Correction" procedure (Section 2.3).
- Digital Display is Dim or Hard to Read: This can be a characteristic of negative LCD displays in certain lighting conditions. Ensure the watch is viewed at an optimal angle. If the display remains unusually dim, the battery may be low.
- No Sound from Alarm/Hourly Signal: Check if the MUTE function is active. In Timekeeping Mode, press MODE (C) until "MUTE" is not displayed on the digital screen. Also, ensure the alarm or hourly signal is turned ON in Alarm Mode.
