- Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment to prevent back-drafting.

- Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
- Do not use this unit with any solid-state speed control device.
- This unit must be grounded.
- Clean grease filters frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
- Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.
- Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flaming foods.
- Use appropriate pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface element.
Setup and Installation
Before Installation
- Unpack the range hood and check for any shipping damage.
- Ensure all parts are present as listed in the packing contents.
- Verify the dimensions of your cabinet and the range hood.
- Decide on ducted or ductless (recirculating) installation. For ductless, ensure you have the optional CACF006 carbon filter.
Installation Steps
The range hood can be installed under a cabinet. Refer to the included installation guide for detailed diagrams and instructions.

Ducted vs. Ductless Conversion
This range hood is convertible. For ducted operation, connect to an external duct system. For ductless (recirculating) operation, install the optional CACF006 carbon filter.

Operating Instructions
Control Panel
The range hood features a mechanical push-button control panel located on the front.

- OFF Button: Turns off the fan.

Fan Operation
Press the desired speed button (LOW, MID, HIGH) to turn on the fan. Press the OFF button to turn off the fan.

Maintenance and Care
Cleaning the Range Hood Surface
The range hood features an anti-fingerprint matte sandblasted finish, which is scratch-resistant and easy to clean.
- Use a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Cleaning/Replacing Grease Filters
The aluminum mesh filters are dishwasher-safe and should be cleaned regularly to maintain optimum grease capture and prevent odors.

Steps to Clean:
- Turn off the range hood and disconnect power.
- Remove the mesh filters by pulling the release latch.
- Wash the filters in a dishwasher or by hand using hot water and a non-abrasive detergent.
- Ensure filters are completely dry before re-installing.
Replacing Carbon Filters (Ductless Mode Only)
If operating in ductless mode, the optional CACF006 carbon filters need to be replaced periodically (typically every 3-6 months depending on usage).
- Turn off the range hood and disconnect power.
- Remove the aluminum mesh filters.
- Locate the carbon filters (if installed) and remove them.
- Install new CACF006 carbon filters.
- Re-install the aluminum mesh filters.
