Installation

The Sunrosa medicine cabinet can be installed as either a surface mount or a recessed mount. Ensure you have the necessary tools (e.g., drill, level, measuring tape, screwdriver) and assistance for safe installation due to the cabinet's weight.

General Preparation:

  1. Unpack the cabinet and all components. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Determine the desired mounting height and location. Use a level to mark the horizontal line for the top or bottom of the cabinet.
  3. Locate wall studs if possible for secure mounting. If studs are not available, use appropriate drywall anchors.

Surface Mount Installation:

For surface mounting, the cabinet is installed directly onto the wall surface.

  1. Attach the bottom mounting bracket to the wall using screws and anchors, ensuring it is level. If possible, secure into wall studs.
  2. Carefully lift the cabinet and rest it on the bottom bracket.
  3. Secure the top of the cabinet to the wall using the provided top brackets and screws, ensuring the cabinet is plumb and level.
  4. Apply the side mirror panels to the exposed sides of the cabinet. Note that the adhesive is strong, so align carefully before pressing firmly.

Recessed Mount Installation:

For recessed mounting, a wall opening is required. The rough opening dimensions should accommodate the cabinet body, typically slightly smaller than the overall cabinet dimensions to allow for the frame to overlap the wall opening.

  1. Create a wall opening according to the cabinet's recessed dimensions. Ensure the opening is square and plumb.
  2. Insert the cabinet body into the wall opening.
  3. Secure the cabinet to the wall studs or framing within the opening using appropriate screws through the pre-drilled holes in the cabinet frame.
  4. Ensure the cabinet frame sits flush against the finished wall surface.

Installing Adjustable Shelves:

  1. Locate the shelf clips inside the cabinet.
  2. Insert the shelf clips into the desired height positions. Ensure all four clips for a single shelf are at the same level.
  3. Carefully place the tempered glass shelves onto the installed clips. Some users have noted a tight fit; ensure proper alignment and gentle pressure to avoid damage. If a shelf is excessively tight, ensure clips are fully seated.

Operation

Opening and Closing Doors:

The cabinet features three mirrored doors equipped with BLUM self-closing hinges. These hinges allow the doors to close slowly and quietly without slamming. To open, gently pull the door using the concealed finger grip. To close, push the door gently; the self-closing mechanism will engage and pull the door shut smoothly.

Adjusting Shelf Height:

The four tempered glass shelves are adjustable. To change a shelf's height, carefully remove any items from the shelf, then lift the shelf off its clips. Reposition the shelf clips to the desired height and re-insert the shelf. Ensure the shelf is stable before placing items on it.
