Product Overview

Receiver Unit

The receiver unit is designed to connect to your display device (TV, monitor, projector). It features multiple ports for versatile connectivity.

  • Power Button: Used to turn the receiver on or off.
  • USB-C Power Supply Port: Connects to a power source using the provided USB-C cable.
  • 3.5mm Jack: For audio output.
  • HDMI Port: Connects to your display via an HDMI cable.
  • VGA Port: Connects to your display via a VGA cable.

Transmitter Unit

The transmitter unit connects to your source device (laptop, PC, game console). It is compact and designed for easy plug-and-play use.

Setup Instructions

  1. Connect the Receiver: Plug the JTECH-WDEX-50M2 Receiver into an available HDMI or VGA port on your display device (TV, monitor, or projector).
  2. Power the Receiver: Connect the provided USB-C power cable to the receiver's USB-C Power Supply Port and then to a USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port on your display.
  3. Connect the Transmitter: Plug the JTECH-WDEX-50M2 Transmitter into the HDMI output port of your source device (e.g., laptop, PC, game console). If your source device does not provide sufficient power via HDMI, connect the USB-C power cable to the transmitter's USB-C Power Supply Port and to a USB power source.
  4. Power On: Press the Power Button on the Receiver unit. The indicator lights on both the transmitter and receiver should illuminate, indicating they are powered on.
  5. Automatic Pairing: The transmitter and receiver are designed to pair automatically. Once paired, your source device's screen should appear on your display.

Operating Instructions

Once the transmitter and receiver are connected and powered on, the system operates automatically. The device supports various mirroring technologies for flexible use.

Wireless Screen Mirroring

In addition to direct HDMI transmission, the JTECH-WDEX-50M2 supports wireless casting from compatible devices:

  • Apple Airplay: For Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook).
  • Samsung Smart View: For compatible Samsung devices.
  • Miracast: For Windows PCs and other Miracast-enabled devices.

To use these features, ensure your device is connected to the same network as the JTECH-WDEX-50M2 Receiver (if applicable, or follow on-screen instructions for direct connection) and select the appropriate mirroring option from your device's settings.

Troubleshooting

  • No Signal/No Picture:
    • Ensure both the transmitter and receiver are properly powered and their indicator lights are on.
    • Verify that the HDMI/VGA cables are securely connected to both the receiver and the display.
    • Check if the display is set to the correct input source (HDMI or VGA).
    • Try power cycling both the transmitter and receiver by unplugging and re-plugging them.
    • Ensure the distance between the transmitter and receiver is within the specified range (up to 98 feet) and there are no significant obstructions.
    • If using the HDMI transmitter, ensure your source device is providing sufficient power. Use the additional USB-C power cable if needed.
  • Intermittent Connection/Flickering:
    • Reduce the distance between the transmitter and receiver.
    • Minimize obstacles (walls, furniture) between the units.
    • Check for potential wireless interference from other 5GHz devices.
    • Ensure both units have stable power supply.
  • No Audio:
    • Verify that your display's audio is not muted or set to a very low volume.
    • Ensure the 3.5mm audio jack is properly connected if you are using it for audio output.
    • Check audio settings on your source device.
  • Difficulty with Airplay/Smart View/Miracast:
    • Ensure your mobile device/PC and the JTECH-WDEX-50M2 Receiver are on the same Wi-Fi network.
    • Restart both your source device and the JTECH-WDEX-50M2 units.
    • Consult your device's manual for specific mirroring instructions.
