2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of injury or damage, please observe the following safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions: Familiarize yourself with the shredder's features and operation before use.
  • Keep away from children and pets: This shredder is not a toy. Keep hands, hair, loose clothing, and jewelry away from the paper entry slot.
  • Power source: Connect the shredder to a properly grounded power outlet with the correct voltage. Do not overload the power outlet.
  • Avoid liquids: Do not expose the shredder to water or other liquids. Do not operate with wet hands.
  • Safety Switch: The shredder is equipped with a safety switch that stops operation and cuts power when the shredder head is lifted. Ensure the head is securely in place during operation.
  • Overheat Protection: The shredder features an overheat indicator. If the indicator illuminates, turn off the shredder and allow it to cool down for approximately 40 minutes before resuming operation. This protects the motor and extends the product's lifespan.
  • Do not shred: Avoid shredding adhesive labels, continuous forms, transparencies, newspaper, or any materials containing metal objects like large paper clips or binder clips, except for small staples and standard paper clips as specified.
  • Unplug when not in use: Always unplug the shredder before cleaning, moving, or emptying the waste bin.

  2. Placement: Place the shredder on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the waste bin is correctly inserted into the main unit.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Switch to ON: Locate the power switch, usually on the top or side of the shredder head, and set it to the 'ON' or 'AUTO' position.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Shredding

  • Ensure the shredder is plugged in and the power switch is set to 'AUTO'.
  • Insert paper directly into the paper entry slot. The shredder will automatically start and stop once shredding is complete.
  • The maximum sheet capacity is 12 sheets of A4 paper (70g/m²) per pass. Do not exceed this capacity to prevent jams and damage.
  • The shredder can operate continuously for up to 10 minutes. After this period, allow it to cool down for 40 minutes if the overheat indicator activates.
