The ELRO FS2010 Smoke Detector is designed to provide early warning in case of fire, ensuring timely notification. This detector is equipped with a built-in lithium battery that offers a lifespan of 10 years, eliminating the need for battery replacement during this period.

Installation

Installation Steps:

1. Select an appropriate location on the ceiling, away from corners and vents.
2. Use the provided mounting material (screws and plugs) to secure the mounting plate to the ceiling.
3. Attach the smoke detector to the mounting plate by twisting it clockwise until it clicks into place.
4. Activate the device by pressing the test button for a few seconds until the smoke alarm emits a signal. This confirms activation and the start of the 10-year battery life.

Operation

Testing the Smoke Detector:

It is recommended to test the smoke detector's functions once a month by pressing the test button. During the test, the sound is attenuated (70dB) to protect your ears. To hear the full 85dB alarm sound, hold the test button longer.

Alarm and Silence Function:

• In the event of smoke detection, the alarm will sound at 85dB.
• The detector also features a pause function, allowing you to temporarily silence the alarm in case of non-emergency activations (e.g., cooking fumes). Refer to the full instructions for specific duration and conditions of the pause function.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance of your smoke detector, regular maintenance is crucial.

• Cleaning: Clean the detector once a month using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. Never use cleaning products or liquids on the detector.
