2. Safety Information

Always prioritize your child's safety. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.

  • Weight and Age Limits: This car seat is suitable for children from 0 to 36 kg. Always ensure your child is within the specified weight and height limits for the current configuration (rear-facing or forward-facing).

  • Forward-Facing Position: Only use the forward-facing position when your child has outgrown the rear-facing limits.
  • Harness System: Always secure your child with the car seat's internal 5-point harness system until they reach the weight limit for the harness (typically 18 kg). After this, the car seat transitions to a booster seat using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Fabric Covers

The fabric covers are removable and washable. Refer to the care label on the fabric for specific washing instructions (e.g., machine wash cold, delicate cycle).

  • Removal: Carefully unfasten all clips, elastic loops, and Velcro attachments to remove the fabric covers.
  • Washing: Wash according to the care label. Do not tumble dry.
  • Reattachment: Ensure covers are completely dry before reattaching them to the car seat. Make sure all harness slots are correctly aligned.

6.2 Cleaning Hard Parts

The plastic and metal parts of the car seat can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap.

  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure all parts are dry before reassembly or use.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Maxi-Cosi Spinel 360 Car Seat, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Car seat feels loose after installation:
Solution: Recheck that the ISOFIX connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible) and pushed firmly against the vehicle seat. Ensure the support leg is extended correctly and its indicator is green.
  • Harness is difficult to tighten or loosen:
Solution: Ensure the harness adjustment button is fully pressed when attempting to loosen. Check for any twists in the harness straps behind the seat.
  • Seat does not rotate:
Solution: Ensure the seat is not in a reclined position that obstructs rotation. Check that the rotation handle/button is fully engaged. The seat may need to be in a specific upright position to rotate.
  • Headrest/Harness adjustment is stiff:
Solution: Ensure no fabric or debris is obstructing the mechanism. Apply gentle, even pressure when adjusting.

If the problem persists, contact Maxi-Cosi customer support.
