5. Installation Guide
Installation is simple and can be completed with a drill. Refer to the provided video for a visual guide.
5.1. Measurement Considerations
For optimal blackout performance, it is recommended to extend the width and length of the blinds by at least 10cm beyond the window frame. When installing near a wall, ensure a minimum 0.3cm space on each side.

5.2. Mounting Types
Our blinds support both face mounting and ceiling mounting. For ceiling mounting, ensure the window frame depth is at least 6cm. Face mounting generally offers superior blackout compared to ceiling mounting.
5.3. Step-by-Step Installation
- Prepare Tools: Gather a drill, measuring tape, pencil, and screwdriver.
- Mark Bracket Positions: Hold the headrail in place and mark the positions for the mounting brackets. Ensure the brackets are evenly spaced (approximately 50cm apart).
- Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked positions. Insert wall plugs if necessary.
- Attach Brackets: Securely fasten the mounting brackets using screws.
- Install Headrail: Clip the headrail into the installed mounting brackets.
- Attach Louvers: Hook each louver onto the carriers in the headrail.
- Connect Bottom Chains: Connect the bottom of the louvers using the provided bottom chains to ensure even spacing and stability.

7. Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Graywind Vertical Blinds. The louvers are removable for easier cleaning.
7.1. Regular Dusting
Gently remove dust from the louvers using a feather duster or a soft, clean cloth. For deeper cleaning, a handheld vacuum with a brush attachment can be used. Ensure the blinds are fully extended when dusting or vacuuming.
7.2. Spot Cleaning
For partial cleaning of stains, use a well-wrung cloth or sponge dipped in a solution of mild dish-washing detergent and lukewarm water. Gently dab the stained area. Avoid harsh detergents or excessive scrubbing, as this may damage the fabric.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your blinds, refer to the following common solutions:
- Blinds not opening/closing smoothly: Check the track for any obstructions or debris. Ensure the louvers are properly aligned in their carriers.
- Louvers not rotating: Inspect the wand or chain mechanism for any damage or tangles. Ensure the louvers are freely moving.
- Uneven louver spacing: Verify that the bottom chains are correctly connected and not broken.
- Blinds falling: Re-check all mounting brackets and screws to ensure they are securely fastened to the wall or ceiling.
