Initial Operation
After placing the freezer, allow it to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it into a power outlet. This allows the refrigerant to settle, preventing potential damage to the cooling system.
Operating Instructions
Temperature Control
The freezer features an adjustable thermostat located on the exterior. You can easily change the temperature by rotating the dial. Settings range from 1 (Off) to 7 (Coldest), allowing you to customize the freezing temperature between -8°F and 14°F (-22°C and -10°C) for various food items.

Maintenance
Defrosting
This freezer requires manual defrosting. When frost accumulates to a thickness of about 0.2 inches (5 mm) on the evaporator, the freezer should be defrosted. To defrost, unplug the unit, remove all contents, and allow the ice to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice.
Cleaning
Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the freezer. Unplug the unit before cleaning. Use a soft cloth with a mild detergent and warm water to wipe down surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure all surfaces are dry before plugging the unit back in.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Freezer does not operate. | No power supply; power cord unplugged; circuit breaker tripped. | Check power connection; ensure outlet is functional; reset circuit breaker. |
| Temperature is not cold enough. | Temperature setting too high; door opened too frequently; excessive food load; poor ventilation. | Adjust thermostat to a colder setting; minimize door openings; allow space for air circulation; ensure adequate clearance around the unit. |
| Excessive frost buildup. | Door not sealed properly; frequent door openings; high humidity. | Check door gasket for proper seal; reduce frequency of door openings; perform manual defrost as needed. |
| Unusual noises. | Unit not level; components vibrating; normal compressor operation. | Ensure unit is level; check for loose items inside; slight humming from the compressor is normal. |
