2. Setup
2.1. What's in the Box
Upon unboxing your Midea OBODE A8+, ensure all components are present:

2.2. Initial Assembly
Follow these steps for initial setup:
- Install Side Brushes: Gently push the colored side brushes onto their corresponding posts (purple for right, red for left) on the underside of the robot until they click into place.
- Install Mop Pad: Attach the mop pad to the mop module and slide the module into the designated slot at the rear of the robot.
- Fill Water Tank: Open the water tank cap on the mop module and fill with clean water. Close the cap securely.
- Position Charging Base: Place the auto-empty charging base against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1.5 meters in front and 0.5 meters to the sides. Plug in the power cord and turn on the main switch located on the back of the base.
- Charge Robot: Place the robot onto the charging base. Ensure the charging contacts align. The robot will begin charging automatically.
- Download App: Download the "obode Life App" from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to your home Wi-Fi network.

- Cleaning Modes: Select from various cleaning modes including High-efficiency, Exhaustive, Quiet, Standard, and Turbo suction power. Adjust water levels for mopping (Dry, Low, Standard, High).

4. Maintenance
4.1. Auto-Empty Dust Collection
The auto-empty charging base automatically empties the robot's dustbin:
- 30 Days Dust Collection: The large capacity dust bag in the base holds up to 30 days of debris.
- Dust Bag Replacement: Open the lid of the auto-empty base, remove the full disposable dust bag, and insert a new one. Instructions are typically found on the inside of the lid.

4.2. Cleaning Filters & Brushes
Regular cleaning of filters and brushes ensures optimal performance:
- Dust Tank & Filter: The robot's internal dust tank can be manually opened for cleaning. Remove the HEPA filter and tap it to dislodge dust. The filter can also be washed with water and air-dried completely before reinstallation.
- Main Brush: Remove the main brush cover and lift out the main brush. Use the provided cleaning tool to cut and remove any tangled hair or debris.
- Side Brushes: Periodically check and clean the side brushes for tangled hair or debris.
- Mop Pad: Remove the mop pad after each mopping session and wash it. Allow it to air dry completely.
4.3. Accessory Lifetime Tracking
The "obode Life App" helps you monitor the lifespan of consumable parts:
- Monitor Usage: The app tracks the remaining hours for the HEPA filter, side brushes, and main brush.
