4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera's internal battery using the provided USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the camera's charging port and a standard 5V/2A USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

4.2 App Installation and Account Creation

  1. Download the "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
  2. Open the app and register a new account or log in if you already have one.

4.3 Camera Pairing with App

  1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  2. Power on the camera. The camera will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light.
  3. In the Smart Life app, tap "+" to add a new device. Select "Security Camera" or "Smart Camera".
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code generated by the app with the camera's lens.
  5. Once connected, you can name your camera and begin live viewing.

4.4 Physical Installation

Choose a mounting location that provides optimal sunlight exposure for the solar panel and a clear view of the area you wish to monitor. Ensure the Wi-Fi signal is strong at the chosen location.

  1. Mark the drilling points for the mounting bracket on the wall or desired surface.
  2. Drill holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
  3. Secure the mounting bracket using the provided screws.
  4. Attach the camera to the mounting bracket. Adjust the angle for optimal coverage.
  5. If the solar panel is separate, mount it in a location that receives direct sunlight for most of the day and connect its cable to the camera.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View

Open the Smart Life app and select your camera from the device list to access the live video feed. You can view real-time footage from your camera anytime, anywhere.

5.2 Pan and Tilt Control

On the live view screen, use the directional controls within the app to remotely rotate the camera horizontally (355°) and vertically (100°) to adjust the viewing angle.

5.3 Two-Way Audio

Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's speaker. Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's surroundings.

5.4 Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera's PIR motion sensor detects movement. When motion is detected, the camera will:

  • Send an instant notification to your smartphone.
  • Record a video clip of the event (to cloud storage or SD card).
  • Capture a snapshot.

You can adjust motion sensitivity and set detection zones within the Smart Life app settings.

5.5 Night Vision Modes

The camera supports both infrared (black and white) and full-color night vision. You can switch between these modes or set them to automatic in the app settings based on ambient light conditions.

5.6 Recording and Playback

Recorded video clips can be accessed and played back through the Smart Life app. You can view recordings stored on the Micro SD card or in the cloud (subscription may be required for cloud services).

6. Maintenance

  • Solar Panel Cleaning: Regularly clean the surface of the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure maximum charging efficiency. Dust, dirt, and debris can reduce its performance.
  • Lens Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens with a microfiber cloth to remove any smudges or dirt that may affect image clarity.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the Smart Life app periodically for available firmware updates. Keeping the camera's firmware updated ensures optimal performance and access to new features.
  • Battery Health: While the solar panel provides continuous charging, ensure the camera receives sufficient sunlight. In prolonged periods of low light, consider manually charging the camera via USB to maintain battery health.

7. Troubleshooting
