1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your INGCO SDS-Plus Heavy Duty Rotary Hammer Drill. Please read these instructions carefully before using the tool and keep them for future reference. This rotary hammer is designed for heavy-duty drilling and chiseling in concrete, masonry, wood, and metal.
2. General Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. Keep this manual for future reference.
2.1. Work Area Safety
- Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2.2. Electrical Safety
- Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way.
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
2.3. Personal Safety
- Always wear eye protection. Use safety glasses, goggles, or a face shield.
- Wear hearing protection when operating the tool for extended periods.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts.
- Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool.
- Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source, picking up or carrying the tool.
2.4. Power Tool Use and Care
- Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application.
- Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
- Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
- Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation.
- Use the power tool, accessories, and tool bits in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed.

4. Setup
4.1. Attaching the Auxiliary Handle
The auxiliary handle can be adjusted 360° for optimal control and comfort. Loosen the handle clamp, position the handle as desired, and tighten the clamp securely.
4.2. Installing SDS-Plus Bits
- Ensure the tool is unplugged from the power source.
- Clean the shank of the SDS-Plus drill bit or chisel.
- Pull back the chuck collar and insert the bit into the chuck.
- Rotate the bit slightly until it engages with the locking mechanism.
- Release the chuck collar. The bit should be held securely but have a small amount of axial play, which is normal for SDS-Plus systems.
- Pull on the bit to ensure it is properly locked.
Note: Only SDS-Plus drill bits and chisels are compatible with this tool.

5. Operating Instructions
Before operation, ensure all safety precautions are followed and the correct bit is installed.
5.1. Mode Selection
The INGCO Rotary Hammer offers three operating modes, selected via the mode selector switch:
- Drill Mode: For drilling without hammer action in wood, metal, and plastics.
- Hammer Drill Mode: For drilling with hammer action in concrete and masonry.
- Chisel Mode: For chiseling and light demolition work.
5.2. Starting and Stopping
To start the tool, press the trigger switch. To stop, release the trigger switch. This model features variable speed control, allowing you to adjust the speed by varying the pressure on the trigger.
5.3. Drilling and Chiseling Guidelines
- Apply steady, firm pressure. Do not force the tool; let the hammer action do the work.
- For drilling, hold the tool firmly with both hands.
- When chiseling, guide the chisel along the desired line.
- Be aware of the material's maximum drilling capacities: Concrete: 32mm, Steel: 13mm, Wood: 40mm.
