Setup Guide
1. Battery Installation
The Terra Extreme 2.0 Trail Camera requires eight (8) AA batteries (not included). For best performance and battery life, it is recommended to use high-quality alkaline or lithium batteries.
- Locate the battery compartment on the camera.
- Open the latch to access the compartment.
- Insert eight AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment securely to maintain the camera's waterproof seal.
2. SD Card Installation
A memory card is required to store photos and videos. The camera supports SD cards up to 32 GB. A Class 10 SD card is recommended for optimal performance.
- With the camera powered off, locate the SD card slot.
- Insert the SD card into the slot with the label facing up until it clicks into place.
- To remove the SD card, gently push it in until it springs out.
3. Mounting the Camera
The camera comes with an adjustable tree strap for easy mounting. It also features a cable-lock ready latch for additional security (security accessories not included).
- Select a sturdy tree or post at the desired height and location.
- Thread the adjustable tree strap through the slots on the back of the camera.
- Wrap the strap around the tree and secure it using the durable alligator-style clips.
- Tighten the strap to ensure the camera is firmly attached and stable.
- Angle the camera to cover the desired detection area.

Operating Instructions
1. Powering On and Off
To power on the camera, open the front cover and locate the power switch. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position. To power off, slide the switch to 'OFF'.

2. Setting Camera Modes
The camera offers different modes for capturing content. Use the mode selector switch inside the camera to choose your preferred setting:
- Photos Only: Captures still images when motion is detected.
- Videos Only: Records video clips when motion is detected.
- Photos + Videos: Captures both still images and video clips when motion is detected.
3. Adjusting Settings
Use the menu buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER) located inside the camera to navigate and adjust various settings such as time, date, moon phase stamp, burst length, and delay between captures. Refer to the on-screen display for current selections.
The camera also supports the HuntSmart app for enhanced control and data management. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

4. Retrieving Data
To view captured photos and videos, remove the SD card from the camera and insert it into a compatible device (e.g., computer, card reader). The images are delivered in a 16:9 format, ideal for viewing on TV and computer screens.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace all eight AA batteries when the battery indicator shows low power to ensure continuous operation.
- SD Card Management: Regularly check the SD card capacity. Transfer or delete files as needed to prevent the card from becoming full.
- Cleaning: The camera has an IP54 rating, indicating resistance to dust and splashing water. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the lens and sensor areas are clean for clear images.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries and the SD card. Store the camera in a cool, dry place.
