3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Beleeb C20 Battery Charger for use:

  1. Prepare the Battery: Ensure the battery is clean and free of corrosion on its terminals. For lead-acid batteries, check electrolyte levels if applicable and top up with distilled water if necessary.
  2. Connect Charging Cables: Connect the charger's red positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery. Connect the charger's black negative (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Select Voltage: Rotate the 'LEVEL VOLT' knob on the charger to match the voltage of your battery (12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V).
  4. Plug in Charger: Plug the charger's power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet. The charger will power on, and the red LED indicator will light up, indicating it has started working.

4. Operating Instructions

Normal Charging Mode:

For routine battery charging, use the Normal mode:

  1. Ensure the correct battery voltage is selected using the 'LEVEL VOLT' knob.
  2. Adjust the 'AMPERE CONTROL' knob to set the charging rate:
    • LOW: Recommended for slower, gentler charging, especially for smaller batteries or maintenance.
    • MEDIUM: A balanced charging rate for general use.
    • HIGH: For emergency quick charges. Note that higher currents can generate more heat.
  3. The charger will automatically adjust voltage and current as needed. The LCD display will show current voltage and amperage.
  4. When the battery is fully charged, the current displayed on the LCD will drop to 0 amps, and the indicator light will turn green. The charger will automatically stop charging.

'H' Mode (Pulse of High-Voltage) for Battery Repair:

The 'H' mode is designed for battery maintenance, desulfation, and equalization, particularly beneficial for lead-acid batteries that may have accumulated sulfate deposits or have unbalanced cells (common in multi-battery systems like golf carts).

  1. Voltage Selection: Rotate the 'LEVEL VOLT' knob to the 'H' position corresponding to your battery's voltage (e.g., 'H(12V)', 'H(24V)', etc.). This setting initiates a high-voltage pulse.
  2. Charging Rate: For optimal results in 'H' mode, it is recommended to set the 'AMPERE CONTROL' knob to 'LOW'.
  3. Usage Frequency: Using 'H' mode approximately once every 3 months can help equalize battery status and extend battery life.
  4. Monitoring: Monitor the battery temperature closely during 'H' mode. Stop charging if the temperature exceeds safe levels.

This image shows the charger's LCD display transitioning from a high amperage reading to zero, and the indicator light changing from red to green, signifying a complete charge. The text indicates that the charger can be left connected indefinitely without harming the battery.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Beleeb C20 Battery Charger:

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Beleeb C20 Battery Charger, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Charger does not turn on.No power from outlet, power switch off, loose connection.Check the AC outlet, ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position, and verify all connections are secure.
Charger displays "OFF" or stops charging prematurely.Incorrect voltage selected, battery fault, overload circuit tripped.Ensure the 'LEVEL VOLT' knob matches the battery voltage. If an inappropriate voltage is selected, the charger will stop charging after a few seconds to protect your battery. Adjust the voltage knob back to the correct position, turn off the power switch, and then turn it back on to restart the charger. Check battery for damage.
Battery not charging or charging slowly.Loose connections, battery deeply discharged, battery sulfation, incorrect amperage setting.Verify all connections are tight. For deeply discharged batteries, the charger may take longer to initiate charging. Consider using 'H' mode for sulfated batteries. Adjust 'AMPERE CONTROL' to a higher setting if appropriate for your battery.
Charger gets hot during operation.Normal operation, poor ventilation, high ambient temperature. Some heat is normal. Ensure the charger is in a well-ventilated area and its vents are not blocked. If overheating persists, discontinue use and contact support.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Beleeb customer support for further assistance.
