6. Important Notes on DAB+ Reception
DAB+ digital radio reception differs significantly from traditional FM reception. Please note the following:
- Digital vs. Analog: FM allows for weak, noisy reception. DAB+ is digital; if the signal is insufficient, you will hear nothing at all – no static or crackling. This is not a defect of the radio but an indication of insufficient DAB+ signal strength.
- "No Reception = No Sound": This is the fundamental rule for DAB+ reception.
- Location Sensitivity: DAB+ signal strength can vary greatly even within a few meters. If you experience poor reception, try moving the radio slightly to find a better signal area.
- Re-scan in New Locations: If you move to a different region or country, it is highly recommended to perform a full scan to find all available local DAB+ stations.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Avoid getting moisture into any openings.
7.2 Battery Care
- To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
