Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace the AAA batteries in the motion sensor when the detection range decreases or the LED indicator on the sensor no longer flashes.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of both the receiver and the motion sensor. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Placement: Avoid placing the motion sensor in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high air flow (e.g., near air conditioners or large fans) as this may affect performance.
Troubleshooting
1. Receiver Not Responding to Sensor
- Check Batteries: Ensure the motion sensor has fresh batteries and they are installed correctly.
- Re-pair Units: Follow the pairing instructions in the "Setup Guide" section to re-establish the connection.
- Range: Verify that the sensor and receiver are within the 500ft wireless range. Obstacles like thick walls or metal objects can reduce range.
- Interference: Move the units away from other wireless devices that might cause interference.
2. False Alarms
- Sensor Placement: Adjust the sensor's angle or location to avoid detecting pets, moving curtains, or direct sunlight.
- Environmental Factors: High temperatures or rapid air currents can sometimes trigger false alarms. Ensure the sensor is in a stable environment.
3. No Sound from Receiver
- Volume Level: Check the volume setting on the receiver. It might be set to silent mode. Press the Volume button to increase the sound.
- Power: Ensure the receiver is properly plugged into a working power outlet.
