5. Laptop Integration (AirFeet)
The Air60 features four foot pads on its back, designed to fit perfectly between the keys of most laptop keyboards, including recent MacBooks. Operating the Keyboard
1. Basic Key Functions
The Air60 features a 60% layout, meaning some functions are accessed via the Fn key combination. Refer to the keycap legends for specific Fn layer functions, which typically include F-row keys (F1-F12), navigation keys (Home, End, PgUp, PgDn), and media controls.
2. Switching Between Connected Devices
To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, simply press Fn + BT1, Fn + BT2, Fn + BT3, or Fn + BT4. To switch to 2.4G mode, move the mode selector switch to 2.4G. For wired mode, ensure the USB-C cable is connected and the mode selector is set to Wired.
3. Backlight Control
The Air60 features RGB backlighting and sidelighting. Use Fn key combinations (refer to your keyboard's specific legends) to cycle through different lighting effects, adjust brightness, and change colors. Turning off the backlight can significantly extend battery life.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Keyboard
To clean the keyboard, power it off and disconnect any cables. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. For dust and debris between keycaps, use compressed air. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the keyboard.
2. Keycap and Switch Replacement
The NuPhy Air60 features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. Use the included keycap puller to carefully remove keycaps, then use a switch puller (not included, but commonly available) to remove switches. When installing new switches, ensure the pins are aligned correctly to avoid damage.

Troubleshooting
1. Keyboard Not Responding
- Check Connection Mode: Ensure the mode selector switch is set to the correct position (2.4G, Bluetooth, or Wired).
- Battery Level: Connect the keyboard via USB-C to charge it. A low battery can prevent functionality.
- Wired Connection: If using wired mode, try a different USB-C cable or port.
- 2.4G Connection: Re-insert the 2.4G receiver into a different USB port.
- Bluetooth Connection: Re-pair the keyboard with your device. Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled.
2. Keys Not Registering or Double Typing
- Clean Under Keycaps: Remove the affected keycap and clean any debris around the switch using compressed air.
- Check Switch: If the issue persists, the switch might be faulty. As the keyboard is hot-swappable, you can replace the switch.
3. Bluetooth Disconnection Issues
- Interference: Move the keyboard closer to your device and away from other wireless devices that might cause interference.
- Re-pair: Delete the keyboard from your device's Bluetooth list and re-pair it.
- Firmware: Check the NuPhy website for any available firmware updates for your keyboard.
