Setup
1. Battery Installation and Charging
The Baofeng BF-H7 uses a 2200mAh Li-ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
- To Install: Align the battery with the grooves on the back of the radio and slide it upwards until it clicks into place.
- To Remove: Press the battery release latch (usually at the bottom of the battery compartment) and slide the battery downwards.
- Charging: Place the radio with the battery installed into the desktop charger. Connect the power adapter to the charger and a power outlet. The charging indicator light will show charging status (typically red for charging, green for fully charged).

2. Antenna Attachment
Screw the desired antenna (Standard, AR-771, or AR-805S) clockwise onto the SMA-Female connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

3. Programming the Radio
The Baofeng BF-H7 can be programmed via computer using the included PL2303 USB Programming Cable and compatible software (e.g., CHIRP). This allows for customization of channels, frequencies, and various radio settings.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Volume Control
Rotate the top-left knob clockwise to power on the radio and adjust the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise until a click is heard to power off.
2. Channel Selection
Rotate the top-right knob to select memory channels. The selected channel will be displayed on the LCD screen.
3. Transmitting and Receiving (PTT)
To transmit, press and hold the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button on the left side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive.
