Maintenance
Water Resistance
Your Timex Ironman Triathlon Transit+ Watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This makes it suitable for snorkeling and swimming, but not for diving.
Important: To maintain water resistance, do not press any buttons underwater unless your watch is indicated as 200-meter water resistant. Watches labeled water-resistant without a depth indicated can withstand splashes and rain, but should not be submerged.

Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a CR2032 battery. When the display becomes dim or the watch stops functioning, it may be time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Cleaning
Clean your watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch case or strap. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with clean water and thorough drying.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Responding / Display Blank:
This often indicates a low or depleted battery. Refer to the "Battery Replacement" section for instructions.
- Inaccurate Heart Rate Readings:
Ensure the watch is worn snugly on your wrist and the sensor on the back of the watch is in good contact with your skin. Avoid excessive movement during measurement. Dry skin or excessive hair can also affect readings.
- Inaccurate Activity Tracking (Steps/Distance):
Ensure your personal data (height, weight, gender) is accurately entered in the watch settings. Consistent arm motion is important for step counting. For distance, the watch estimates based on steps, so significant variations in stride length (e.g., running vs. walking) can affect accuracy.
- Buttons Not Responding:
Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode. If the watch has been exposed to water, ensure it is completely dry. If the issue persists, a battery replacement might resolve it.
