2. Safety Information

• Ensure the charger is disconnected from the power outlet before making or breaking connections to the battery.
• Use the charger only for 12V lead-acid batteries (WET, MF, Ca/CA, AGM, GEL) and LiFePo4 batteries as specified. Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Operate the charger in a well-ventilated area. Batteries can produce explosive gases.
• Avoid open flames, sparks, or smoking near the battery during charging.
• Wear eye protection and gloves when working with batteries. Battery acid is corrosive.
• Keep the charger away from water and moisture. The unit is rated IP65 for splash and dust resistance, but it is not submersible.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Xparkle ABC01 charger:

1. Prepare the Battery: Ensure the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. If necessary, clean them with a wire brush.
2. Connect to Battery:
   • Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal.
   • Connect the black (-) clamp to the negative (-) battery terminal.
   • Ensure connections are secure and there is no contact between the clamps or with other metal parts.
3. Connect to Power: Plug the charger's AC power cord into a standard AC 100-240V electrical outlet.
4. The charger will power on and automatically detect the battery type and condition, or you may need to select a mode.

• Battery Type Indicators: LEDs for Car, Motorcycle, AGM, and Lithium (LiFePo4) indicate the selected or detected battery type.
• Charge Level Indicators: LEDs for 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, and MAINTAIN show the current charging progress.
• 12V Repair Indicator: Illuminates when the battery repair function is active.
• Fault Indicator: Illuminates if a fault is detected (e.g., reverse polarity, short circuit, damaged battery).

5.2. Selecting Charging Mode

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available charging modes:

• Normal: Standard charging for most 12V lead-acid batteries.
• AGM: Optimized charging for AGM batteries.
• LiFePo4: Specific charging profile for Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries.
