2. Setup and Installation

This section provides detailed instructions for installing your LIAN LI GALAHAD AIO Cooler. Ensure your system is powered off and unplugged before beginning installation.

2.1. Unpacking and Component Check

Carefully unpack all components and verify against the parts list. The package includes the 240mm radiator with fans, pump/cold plate assembly, mounting brackets for Intel and AMD sockets, screws, washers, and thermal paste.

2.2. Preparing the CPU

Before mounting the water block, clean the CPU surface. If the CPU is not brand-new, use isopropyl alcohol to remove any old thermal paste residue. Apply a small amount of the included thermal paste to the center of the CPU IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader).

2.3. Mounting the Water Block

Follow the specific instructions below based on your CPU socket type. Ensure to remove the plastic film from the bottom of the cold plate before installation.

2.3.1. Intel LGA 115X, 1366, 775, 1200 Installation

1. Insert the Intel mounting bracket into place on the water block.
2. Lay the motherboard face down. Place the 4 washers in position, then secure the Intel backplate by pushing the 4 no-thread bolts into the holes.
3. Turn the motherboard face up and screw the 4 nuts through the bolts. Place the water block down over the CPU.
4. Screw the 4 thumbscrews through the bolts. Keep them slightly loose until all 4 thumbscrews are in place. Then, secure them tightly with a screwdriver to fix the water block.

2.3.2. Intel LGA 2011 and 2066 Installation

1. Insert the Intel mounting bracket into place on the water block.
2. Screw the 4 bolt-shaped thumbscrews onto the motherboard. Then, place the water block over the CPU.
3. Secure the thumbscrews halfway through. Keep them slightly loose before all 4 are in place. Then, secure them tightly with a screwdriver to fix the water block.

2.3.3. AMD AM4/AM5 Installation

1. Pull up the white case on the water block slightly to allow the AMD mounting bracket to fit in.
2. Place the 2 AMD mounting hooks on the motherboard, then hitch the water block over the CPU.
3. Secure the thumbscrews halfway through. After the water block is correctly positioned, secure the thumbscrews with a screwdriver to fix the water block in place.

2.4. Radiator and Fan Mounting

Mount the radiator and fans in your PC case. The 240mm radiator typically mounts to the top or front of the case. Ensure proper airflow direction for optimal cooling.

2.5. Cable Connections

Connect the pump and fan cables to the appropriate headers on your motherboard or the included RGB controller. Refer to your motherboard manual for specific header locations. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.1. RGB Lighting Control
