2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer.
2. Open the compartment cover.
3. Insert the required batteries (refer to specifications for type and quantity), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely to maintain water resistance.

2.2 Connecting to Faucet

1. Ensure your outdoor faucet is turned off.

2.3 Connecting Hoses

1. Attach your garden hoses to the two outlets at the bottom of the timer. These are labeled as Zone L (Left) and Zone R (Right).

3. Once hoses are connected, slowly turn on your outdoor faucet to full pressure.

3. Operating Instructions

The RAINPOINT Sprinkler Timer features a large, easy-to-read LCD display and a rotary dial for intuitive programming.

3.1 Setting the Clock

1. Turn the rotary dial to 'SET CLOCK'.
2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the current time (hour and minute).
3. Press 'OK' to confirm and move to the next setting.
4. Adjust the current day of the week and press 'OK'.

3.2 Programming Watering Schedules

The timer supports up to 3 programs (P1, P2, P3) per day for each zone.

1. Turn the rotary dial to 'START TIME'.
2. Use the 'ZONE' button to select the desired watering zone (L, R, or Both).
3. Use '+' and '-' to set the start time for Program 1 (P1). Press 'OK'.
4. Turn the dial to 'HOW LONG'. Set the watering duration (e.g., 25 minutes). Press 'OK'.
5. Turn the dial to 'HOW OFTEN'. Set the watering frequency (e.g., every 24 hours, specific days of the week). Press 'OK'.
6. Repeat steps for Program 2 (P2) and Program 3 (P3) if desired.

3.3 Manual Watering Mode

To initiate immediate watering outside of programmed schedules:

1. Turn the rotary dial to 'ON'.
2. Press the 'MANUAL' button.
3. Use the 'ZONE' button to select the desired zone(s).
4. Use '+' and '-' to set the manual watering duration.
5. Press 'OK' to start manual watering. The timer will automatically stop after the set duration.

3.4 Rain Delay Function

To temporarily pause watering due to rain or other reasons:

1. Turn the rotary dial to 'ON'.
2. Press the 'DELAY' button.
3. Use '+' and '-' to select the desired delay duration (24, 48, or 72 hours).
4. Press 'OK' to activate the rain delay. Watering will resume automatically after the delay period.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

• Periodically check the filter washer located in the top inlet connector. Clean any debris to ensure proper water flow.
• Wipe the exterior of the timer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

4.2 Winterization

• Before the first frost, disconnect the timer from the faucet and hoses.
• Remove the batteries.
• Store the timer indoors in a dry, frost-free location.

4.3 Battery Replacement
