1.2 Filter Preparation
- Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the filter.
- Unwrap the Universal filter cartridge from its protective packaging.
- Submerge the filter completely in a bowl of clean water for 10 minutes. This helps to remove any air bubbles and prime the filter for use.
1.3 Filter Installation
- Ensure the silicone ring on the filter is properly positioned in the rim of the filter.
- Carefully place the prepared filter into the recess in the middle of the jug's internal reservoir. Press down gently to ensure a secure fit.

1.4 Initial Water Fill and Discard
- Fill the jug with tap water through the pour-through lid. Allow the water to filter through completely.
- Discard the first two full jugs of filtered water. This is normal for new filters and helps to flush out any carbon dust or resin dust.
- Your Aqua Optima Lily Jug is now ready for use.
2. Operating Instructions
The Aqua Optima Lily Jug utilizes a 4-step filtration system designed to reduce temporary water hardness and impurities, providing cleaner, healthier, and tastier water.
2.1 How the 4-Step Filtration System Works
- Preliminary Filter: Eliminates suspended particles in water.
- Activated Carbon: Removes the odor and taste of chlorine.
- Ion Exchange Resin: Reduces limescale and pollutants such as heavy metals (e.g., aluminum, lead).
- Filtration Net: At the base, completes the filtration process.
2.2 Daily Use
Simply fill the jug with cold tap water. The water will automatically filter as it passes through the cartridge into the main reservoir. Store the filtered water in the refrigerator for best taste.
3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning the Jug
The Aqua Optima Lily Jug is BPA-free and dishwasher safe. For regular cleaning, disassemble the jug (remove filter and internal reservoir) and wash with warm soapy water or place in the dishwasher. Ensure all parts are thoroughly rinsed before reassembly.
3.2 Filter Replacement
For optimal performance, the filter cartridge should be replaced approximately every 35 days, based on an average daily consumption of 5 liters. The lid of the jug features a manual counter to help you track when to change the filter. Set the counter to the current date when you install a new filter.
3.3 Care and Use Tips
- Do not put hot water in the jug.
- For maximum efficiency, do not filter more than 10 liters per day.
- Make sure to replace the filter when indicated by the counter.
4. Troubleshooting
