6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement
The lock requires one 9V lithium battery. A low battery warning is indicated by the red light illuminating after opening the safe.
- When the low battery warning appears, replace the 9V battery promptly.
- To replace, carefully open the battery compartment (typically located on the inside of the safe door, connected to the PCB).
- Disconnect the old battery and connect a new 9V lithium battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment.
Note: Your programmed codes will be retained during battery replacement.
7. Troubleshooting
- Lockout Mode: If an incorrect code is entered 3 times consecutively, the lock will enter a 15-minute lockout period. During this time, the keypad will not respond to input. Wait for the lockout period to expire before attempting to enter the code again.
- Low Battery Warning: If the red light illuminates after opening the safe, the battery is low. Replace the 9V battery as soon as possible to ensure continued operation.
- No Response from Keypad:
- Check if the battery is properly connected and has sufficient charge.
- Ensure all cable connections to the PCB are secure.
- If the issue persists, consider performing a factory reset (see "To Change Code" section for reset button usage).
- Solenoid Not Retracting:
- Verify that the correct code has been entered and confirmed with the '#' key.
- Check battery level.
- Inspect the solenoid for any obstructions or damage.
