8. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your fan, refer to the common problems and solutions below:
Problem: Fan does not start.
- Solution: Check that the power supply is on at the circuit breaker. Ensure all wire connections are secure. Verify that the remote control batteries are correctly installed and not depleted.
Problem: Light does not work.
- Solution: Check the light kit wiring connections. Ensure the light button on the remote is pressed. If power was interrupted, the light may need to be toggled on.
Problem: Fan wobbles.
- Solution: Ensure all blade screws are tightened. Check that the mounting bracket is securely fastened to the ceiling joist. Verify that the downrod is properly seated and secured.
Problem: Fan makes excessive noise.
- Solution: Ensure all screws are tight. Check for any obstructions in the fan's path. Verify that the fan blades are clean and free of debris.
Problem: Fan/Light state resets after power interruption.
- Note: If power to the fan is interrupted (e.g., by a wall switch or power outage), upon restoration, the light will always turn on and the fan will be off. This is normal operation. The light's color temperature and fan direction settings are retained.
