The fine-tooth mechanism allows for a small return angle, making it suitable for use in confined spaces.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, wipe the ratchet clean with a dry cloth to remove dirt, grease, and debris. For stubborn grime, a mild degreaser can be used, followed by thorough drying.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of light machine oil to the ratchet head mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Avoid over-lubrication.
  • Storage: Store the ratchet in a dry environment to prevent rust and corrosion. A tool chest or drawer is ideal.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the ratchet for any signs of wear, damage, or deformation. Pay close attention to the drive square, the ratchet mechanism, and the handle.
