This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your alarm clock.

4. Setup

1. Initial Power-On: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock. Remove the insulation sheet from the pre-installed CE2032 button battery. The LED screen will briefly display a sequence (e.g., 000 to 999) and then enter normal clock mode with an audible beep.
2. Connect Power: For continuous operation and charging, connect the provided USB power cable to the DC 5V port on the back of the clock and plug the other end into a USB power adapter (not included), computer, or power bank.
3. Placement: Place the alarm clock on a stable, flat surface. Ensure it is not exposed to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and switches on the back of the clock:

• MIN-DATE: Adjusts minutes or date.
• HOUR-MONTH: Adjusts hours or month.
• MODE-YEAR: Cycles through display modes (dP-1, dP-2, dP-3) and adjusts the year.
• AL.ON/AL.OFF Switch: Toggles the alarm function on or off.
• LOCK/AL.SET/TIME SET Slider: Selects the setting mode.
• RESET: Resets the clock to factory defaults.

5.1 Setting the Time

1. Slide the LOCK/AL.SET/TIME SET switch to the TIME SET position. The hour digits will begin to flash.
2. Press the HOUR-MONTH button to adjust the hour.
3. Press the MIN-DATE button to adjust the minutes.
4. Once the desired time is set, slide the switch back to the LOCK position to save the settings and exit time setting mode.

5.2 Setting the Date (Month, Day, Year)

1. In normal time display mode, press the MODE-YEAR button repeatedly until the year (e.g., 2024) is displayed.
2. Slide the LOCK/AL.SET/TIME SET switch to the TIME SET position. The year digits will flash.
3. Press the MODE-YEAR button to adjust the year.
4. Press the HOUR-MONTH button to adjust the month.
5. Press the MIN-DATE button to adjust the day.
6. Slide the switch back to the LOCK position to save the settings.

5.3 Setting the Alarm

1. Slide the LOCK/AL.SET/TIME SET switch to the AL.SET position. The alarm hour digits will begin to flash.
2. Press the HOUR-MONTH button to adjust the alarm hour.
3. Press the MIN-DATE button to adjust the alarm minutes.
4. Once the desired alarm time is set, slide the switch back to the LOCK position to save the settings.
5. To activate the alarm, slide the AL.ON/AL.OFF switch to the AL.ON position. An alarm icon will appear on the display.
6. To deactivate the alarm, slide the AL.ON/AL.OFF switch to the AL.OFF position. The alarm icon will disappear.

5.4 Temperature Display

The clock automatically displays the ambient temperature. To switch between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉):

• In normal time display mode, press the MODE-YEAR button until the temperature is displayed.
• Press and hold the MODE-YEAR button to toggle between ℃ and ℉.

5.5 Automatic and Manual Dimming

The clock features a high-sensitivity light sensor that automatically adjusts the display brightness. If manual adjustment is desired:

• In normal time display mode, press the MIN-DATE button to cycle through different brightness levels.

7. Troubleshooting

• Clock does not turn on: Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected and the power source is active. Check if the internal button battery's insulation sheet has been removed.
• Display is dim or unreadable: The automatic dimming feature may be active. Try manually adjusting the brightness using the MIN-DATE button. Ensure the clock is not in an excessively bright environment that might cause the display to appear washed out.
• Time is incorrect: Re-enter the time setting mode and adjust the time as per Section 5.1. If the time consistently drifts, ensure the clock is receiving stable power.
• Alarm does not sound: Verify that the alarm time is correctly set (Section 5.3) and the AL.ON/AL.OFF switch is in the AL.ON position.
• Temperature reading is inaccurate: Ensure the clock is placed in an area with good air circulation, away from direct heat sources or cold drafts.
• Buttons are unresponsive: Try pressing the RESET button on the back of the clock using a thin, pointed object (e.g., a paperclip). This will reset the clock to its default settings.
