Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: The lock requires 4 AA batteries. Replace batteries when the low battery alert is indicated. Always use new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Clean the keypad and knob surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check that all screws are tight and the knob operates smoothly.
Troubleshooting
- Lock Not Responding: Check if the batteries are depleted. Replace them if necessary. Ensure the battery compartment is clean and contacts are secure.
- Forgotten Password: Use the physical key to gain entry. Then, reset the lock to factory settings by pressing and holding the reset button on the back knob for 10 seconds. You will need to reprogram all passwords after a factory reset.
- Door Locks Too Quickly: This is due to the auto-lock feature. Ensure you twist the knob to open the door immediately after entering the code and before the beep sound ends.
- Codes Not Working: Verify that you are entering the correct password. Ensure administrator passwords start with "0" and user passwords start with "1-9". If issues persist, perform a factory reset and reprogram codes.
- Knob is Loose: Tighten the mounting screws on the interior knob assembly.
