4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off and Temperature Unit Conversion
- Power: Use the ON/OFF switch located on the back of the unit to turn the thermometer on or off.
- Unit Conversion: Use the °C/°F switch on the back to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.

4.2 Display Readings
The large 3.5-inch screen displays two temperature readings:
- When the screen displays "OUT", the temperature shown is the water temperature in the fish tank, measured by the external temperature probe.
- When the screen displays "IN", the temperature shown is the indoor (ambient) temperature, measured by the thermometer body.

4.3 Setting High/Low Temperature Alarms
The thermometer features an alarm function that activates if the water temperature (OUT) goes above or below your set limits. The alarm sound is based solely on the water temperature.
- Press the SET button once to enter the high temperature alarm setting mode. The "SET Hi." value will flash.
- Use the + and - buttons to adjust the desired maximum temperature.
- Press the SET button again to confirm the high temperature and enter the low temperature alarm setting mode. The "SET Lo." value will flash.
- Use the + and - buttons to adjust the desired minimum temperature.
- Press the SET button a third time to confirm the low temperature and exit the alarm setting mode.
When the water temperature exceeds the set high limit or falls below the set low limit, the thermometer will emit an audible alarm.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the thermometer body with a clean, damp cloth. Do not submerge the main unit in water. The stainless steel probe is corrosion-resistant and can be cleaned with a soft brush if algae or debris accumulate.
- Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or the unit stops functioning, replace the CR2032 battery. Ensure proper polarity during installation.
- Probe Care: The stainless steel probe is designed for durability and corrosion resistance. Avoid bending or damaging the probe cable.

6. Troubleshooting
- Incorrect Temperature Reading: Ensure the probe is fully submerged in the water for accurate water temperature readings. Verify the display shows "OUT" for water temperature and "IN" for ambient temperature.
- Alarm Not Sounding: Check that the high and low temperature alarm limits are set correctly. Remember that the alarm is triggered only by the water temperature (OUT), not the indoor temperature (IN).
- No Display/Dim Display: Replace the battery with a new CR2032 battery. Ensure the battery is installed with the correct polarity.
- Probe Disconnected: Ensure the temperature sensing probe is securely plugged into the thermometer body.
