Operating Instructions

The Scheppach BTS900 features a powerful, quiet, and efficient induction motor for consistent performance.

1. Power Connection

Connect the sander to a standard 230-volt power outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in.

2. Adjusting the Belt Sander Arm

The arm supporting the sanding belt can be positioned at an angle from 0-90°, allowing for both vertical and horizontal sanding operations. Loosen the locking knob, adjust the arm to the desired angle, and then securely tighten the knob.

4. Sanding Operation

Turn on the sander using the green power button. Allow the belt and disc to reach full speed before applying the workpiece.
Belt Sanding: Gently apply the workpiece to the moving belt. Use even pressure and move the workpiece consistently across the belt for uniform results.
Disc Sanding: For disc sanding, apply the workpiece to the side of the disc that is moving downwards towards the table. This helps to prevent the workpiece from being thrown upwards.
Always ensure the workpiece is stable and held firmly. Do not apply excessive pressure, as this can overload the motor and reduce sanding efficiency.
