Charging and Dock Placement

Place the Auto-Empty Dock Pure against a wall in an open area, ensuring sufficient space around it for the robot to maneuver. Connect the power cable to the dock and plug it into a power outlet. Place the robot onto the charging contacts to begin initial charging. Ensure the robot is fully charged before its first use.

Wi-Fi Connection and App Installation

The roborock robot vacuum only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi. Download the official Roborock app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to your home Wi-Fi network. This enables remote control and access to smart features.

Initial Mapping

Once connected, initiate a full mapping run through the app. The PreciSense LiDAR Navigation system will create precise maps of your home, which are essential for efficient cleaning routes and unlocking advanced features like No-Mop & No-Go Zones. You can view these maps in 3D within the app and even add furniture and floor materials to virtually recreate your space.

Operating

Cleaning Modes

The robot offers various cleaning modes accessible via the app, including Smart, Light, Balanced, and Max. Smart mode dynamically adjusts emptying based on recent cleaning habits and frequency. You can also fine-tune cleaning based on your floor types and preferences with 30 water flow levels.

Vacuuming and Mopping

The Q7 Max+ can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It boasts an impressive maximum suction power of 4,200 Pa, easily lifting debris and pet hair. It automatically boosts suction to the maximum when carpets are detected for thorough cleaning. The electronic pump allows precise control over water flow for mopping.

Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance

Utilizing PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, the robot creates accurate maps and effectively tracks cleaning routes. It can automatically recognize different floors in your home, supporting up to four levels without extra docks or manual setup. While it navigates intelligently, it's advisable to clear small obstacles like cables to prevent entanglement.

Voice Control and Child Lock

Control your robot using voice commands with compatible smart home devices like Google Home and Amazon Alexa. For households with children or pets, activate the Child Lock feature in the app to prevent accidental activation of clean-ups.

Maintenance

Auto-Empty Dock Pure

The Auto-Empty Dock Pure automatically empties the robot's dustbin after each cleanup. Its 2.5L dust bag holds up to 7 weeks of debris, reducing the frequency of manual emptying. Replace the dust bag when full.

Dustbin & Water Tank

The robot features a combined 470 ml dustbin and 350 ml water tank. While the auto-empty dock handles dust, periodically check and clean the dustbin and water tank to ensure optimal performance and prevent clogs. The filter type is Cloth and should be cleaned regularly.

Brush System

The all-rubber main brush is designed to resist hair tangles and effectively tackles long hair and pet hair. Its four planes of movement ensure close contact with the floor for efficient cleaning on uneven surfaces. Regularly inspect and clean the main brush to remove any tangled hair or debris that may reduce cleaning efficiency.

The mop cloth should be removed and cleaned after each mopping session to maintain hygiene and effectiveness. It can be hand-washed or machine-washed as per instructions in the detailed user guide.

Troubleshooting

If your roborock Q7 Max+ encounters issues, try the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the charging contacts on both the robot and the dock are clean and free of debris. Verify the power cable is securely plugged in.
  • Robot getting stuck: Clear small obstacles like cables, toys, or loose rugs from the cleaning path. Use No-Go Zones in the app to restrict access to problematic areas.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Check if the dustbin is full or the filter is clogged. Clean the main brush and side brushes for any tangled hair. Ensure the mop cloth is clean and properly attached.
  • Wi-Fi connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4G. Restart your router and the robot. Try re-pairing the robot with the app.
  • Unusual noises: Inspect the main brush, side brushes, and wheels for any foreign objects.
