Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the transformer from its packaging. Verify that the package contains one (1) Partx TS-8W29V Class 2 Transformer Power Adapter.

2. Connection

1. Verify Compatibility: Before connecting, ensure that the voltage and current requirements of your LED lights or holiday lighting match the transformer's output (29V DC, 0.28A, 8W).
2. Check Connector Polarity: It is critical to match the positive/negative connectors layout of the TS-8W29V adapter with your original adapter or the device you are powering. The TS-8W29V adapter has the positive (+) on the left side of the connector when viewed from the front. If your device requires positive on the right, this adapter will not work.

3. Secure Connection: Connect the female plug of the transformer to the male plug of your lighting system. Ensure the connection is firm and the threaded waterproof connector is securely tightened if applicable.
4. Power On: Plug the transformer into a standard 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet.

Operating

Once properly connected and plugged into a power source, the transformer will supply power to your connected LED lights. The unit is designed for both indoor and outdoor use due to its raintight IP44 rating.

No further user interaction is required for basic operation. The transformer will continuously provide power as long as it is connected to a live electrical outlet and the connected device is switched on (if it has its own switch).

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Disconnect the transformer from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and connectors for any signs of damage, fraying, or corrosion. If any damage is found, discontinue use and replace the unit.
• Storage: When not in use, store the transformer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

• Lights Not Turning On:
  • Ensure the transformer is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  • Verify that the connected lighting system is properly plugged into the transformer's output connector.
  • Crucially, re-check the connector polarity. As mentioned in the setup section, this adapter requires the positive (+) pin to be on the left. If your lights require the positive pin on the right, this adapter is incompatible.
  • Check if the lighting system itself has an on/off switch and ensure it is in the 'on' position.
  • Confirm that the total wattage of your connected lights does not exceed the transformer's 8W capacity.
• Flickering Lights:
  • Ensure all connections are secure and free from corrosion.
  • The load might be too close to the maximum capacity. Try reducing the number of lights if possible.
• Transformer Feels Warm:
  • It is normal for the transformer to feel slightly warm during operation. If it becomes excessively hot or emits a burning smell, immediately unplug it and discontinue use.
