3. Maintenance
3.1 Water Resistance
Your Casio WS-1300H watch is 100-meter water resistant. This means it is suitable for swimming, showering, and snorkeling. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water ingress.
3.2 Battery Life
The watch is equipped with a 10-year battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Casio service center to maintain water resistance.
3.3 Cleaning and Storage
- Clean the watch with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or strong magnetic fields.
- Store the watch in a cool, dry place when not in use.
4. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low. Replace the battery.
- Time is incorrect: Re-adjust the time and date settings as per Section 1.1. Ensure DST is correctly set for your region.
- Tide/Moon data is inaccurate: Verify your longitude and lunitidal interval settings in Tide/Moon Data Mode (Section 1.2). Incorrect settings will lead to inaccurate readings.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a setting mode. If the issue persists, a soft reset (removing and reinserting the battery) might be necessary, but this should be done by a professional.
