  3. Inserting Plates: Ensure the plates are correctly inserted and locked into position. The grill comes with two sets of plates: one grill plate and one smooth plate. You can use them in any combination.
  4. Positioning: Place the grill on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface, away from walls and flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On and Preheating

  1. Press the power button. The power indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Turn the independent temperature control knobs to your desired temperature setting for each plate. The ready indicator lights will turn on.
  3. Allow the grill to preheat. The ready indicator lights will turn off once the set temperature is reached, indicating the grill is ready for use. This typically takes a few minutes.

5.2 Cooking Positions

The MultiGrill offers three cooking positions:

  • Contact Position: For grilling sandwiches, paninis, meat, fish, and vegetables. The top plate rests directly on the food.
  • Open Position: The grill opens 180 degrees, providing a large cooking surface for simultaneous grilling on both plates. Ideal for cooking different types of food or larger quantities.
  • Oven-like Position: The top plate can be locked at a certain height above the bottom plate, allowing for oven-like cooking or melting cheese without direct contact.

5.3 Temperature Control

The two independent thermostats allow you to set different temperatures for the upper and lower plates. This is useful when cooking different foods simultaneously or when one side requires more heat than the other. Adjust the knobs to select temperatures up to 230°C.

5.4 Cooking Tips

  • For best results, always preheat the grill until the ready indicator lights turn off.
  • Lightly brush food with oil or use cooking spray to prevent sticking, especially with lean meats or vegetables.
  • Avoid overcrowding the plates to ensure even cooking and proper browning.
  • The integrated fat and liquid drainage system directs excess grease into the drip tray, promoting healthier cooking.
