  • Dust Prevention: Keep the VCR in a clean, dust-free environment. Avoid placing it near vents or areas with excessive dust.
  • Tape Care: Store VHS tapes in their cases, away from direct sunlight, heat, and magnetic fields. Rewind tapes fully before storing them.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your JVC VCR, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the VCR and a working electrical outlet. Check if the power button is pressed.
  • No Picture/Sound on TV:
    • Verify all AV and HDMI cables are securely connected between the VCR, AV2HDMI converter, and TV.
    • Confirm your TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
    • Check the AV2HDMI converter's power and connection.
  • Poor Picture Quality (Snowy/Distorted):
    • Adjust the TRACKING buttons on the VCR or remote control.
    • Clean the VCR's tape heads using a head cleaning cassette.
    • The VHS tape itself might be old or damaged. Try a different tape.
