3. Setup

3.1 Powering the Unit

The PD405 can be powered in two ways:

  1. AC Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 9V port on the rear of the unit and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
  2. Battery Power: For portable use, insert 6 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the underside of the unit.

3.2 Connecting Pedals

Connect the two digital pedals to the dedicated PEDAL input jacks on the rear of the unit. These pedals are typically used for kick drum and hi-hat control.

3.3 Initial Placement

Place the PD405 unit on a stable, flat surface such as a tabletop. Ensure there is enough space for comfortable playing with drumsticks and pedal operation.
