3. Setup

Setting up your Blink Mini Pan-Tilt Camera is a straightforward process. Follow these steps for quick installation:

  1. Download the Blink App: Download the "Blink Home Monitor" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS 15.0+, Android 9.0+, or Fire 9.0+ required).
  2. Create an Account: Open the app and create a new Blink account or log in to your existing one.
  3. Add Device: In the app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device. Select "Blink Mini" and follow the on-screen prompts.
  4. Connect to Wi-Fi: Plug in the Blink Mini camera using the provided USB cable and power adapter. The camera will power on. Connect the camera to your 2.4 GHz 802.11g/n Wi-Fi network. Ensure your Wi-Fi has a minimum 2 Mbps upload speed. Note: The camera does not support ad-hoc, peer-to-peer, or paywall Wi-Fi networks.
  5. Attach to Pan-Tilt Mount: Once the Mini camera is configured, securely attach it to the Pan-Tilt Mount. The camera is designed to snap easily into place.
  6. Placement: Place your camera in a central location within the room you wish to monitor, ensuring it has a clear line of sight.

The Blink Mini Pan-Tilt Camera offers various functionalities accessible through the Blink Home Monitor app and compatible smart devices.

4.1 Pan and Tilt Control

From the Blink app, you can remotely control the camera's movement to get a full 360° view of your space. Pan left and right (350° range) and tilt up and down (125° range) to adjust the viewing angle as needed. This allows you to see what's happening in any room from corner to corner.
