1. Introduction

The Donner Lax Comp Compressor Pedal is an analog effects unit designed for electric guitar and bass. It provides classic peak limiter style compression with versatile tone shaping capabilities, including a 2-band EQ boost effect. This pedal features a pure analog circuit and true bypass functionality, ensuring signal integrity when the effect is disengaged.

2. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Donner Lax Comp Compressor Pedal:

  1. Power Connection: Connect a standard 9V DC power adapter (center negative, 50mA minimum, not included) to the DC 9V input jack on the top of the pedal.
  2. Input Connection: Connect your guitar or bass to the "IN" jack on the right side of the pedal using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  3. Output Connection: Connect the "OUT" jack on the left side of the pedal to your amplifier or the next pedal in your signal chain using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  4. Power On: Ensure all connections are secure before applying power to the pedal. The pedal is ready for use once powered.

The pedal features true bypass circuitry. When the pedal is disengaged (effect off), the signal passes directly through the pedal without any coloration or degradation, preserving your instrument's natural tone.
