Setup and Assembly

The HOMIDEC Pet Playpen features a modular design allowing for various configurations. No tools are required for basic assembly, though a small hammer is provided for securing connectors.

Step 1: Plan Your Configuration

Before assembly, decide on the desired shape and size of your playpen. The modular panels and connectors allow for customization. Consider the space available and the needs of your pet.

Step 2: Connect Panels

1. Take two panels and align their corners with the slots of a connector.
2. Push the panels firmly into the connector slots until they click into place. Ensure a snug fit.
3. Repeat this process, adding panels and connectors to form the base structure of your playpen.
4. Use the provided small hammer to gently tap the panels into the connectors if they are difficult to insert by hand, ensuring all connections are secure.

Step 3: Install the Door Panel

Integrate the metal grid door panel into your desired location within the playpen structure. Ensure it is connected securely with connectors on all sides.

Step 4: Enhance Stability with Cable Ties

For added security and stability, use the provided nylon cable ties to reinforce connections between panels, especially at corners and along edges. This is particularly important for active pets or larger configurations.

Step 5: Integrate Frosted Transparent Panels

The frosted transparent PP panels can be used to create a more enclosed space or a "nest" area for your pets, or as a roof for added security. Connect them using the same method as the wire panels.

Operating Instructions

Door Operation

The metal grid door is designed for easy access. To open, simply lift the door panel slightly and swing it outwards. To close, align the door with the opening and lower it into place, ensuring it is flush with the surrounding panels.

Indoor and Outdoor Use

The playpen is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. When using outdoors, ensure the playpen is placed on a level surface. For added stability, especially on uneven ground or during windy conditions, consider using ground stakes (not included) to secure the base of the playpen.

Maintenance

Cleaning

The metal grid panels and PP panels are easy to clean. Wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembly or storage. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the materials.

Inspection

Periodically check all connections to ensure they remain secure. Tighten any loose panels or connectors. Inspect the wire grids for any bends or breaks, and the PP panels for cracks. Replace any damaged components immediately to maintain pet safety.

Troubleshooting

• Playpen feels unstable: Ensure all panels are fully inserted into the connectors. Use the provided cable ties to reinforce connections, especially at corners.
• Panels are difficult to connect: Apply firm, even pressure. Use the provided small hammer to gently tap the panels into the connector slots.
• Pet is escaping: Verify that the playpen height is adequate for your pet. For jumpers, consider adding additional layers of panels to increase height or using the PP panels as a roof. Ensure the door is securely closed.
• Door not closing properly: Check for any obstructions in the door's path or if the surrounding panels are misaligned. Re-adjust connections if necessary.
