4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Charging Base Placement
Place the charging base against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of the charging base for optimal robot navigation.
4.2 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the robot. Place the robot on the charging base, ensuring the charging contacts align. The indicator lights will show charging status. A full charge typically takes 4-5 hours.
4.3 Connecting to the SmartAI App
Download the SmartAI app from your mobile app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to your home Wi-Fi network. The robot only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The app allows for advanced control, mapping, and scheduling.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Cleaning Modes
The S7 MAX offers three suction power levels: Quiet, Standard, and Powerful (up to 3200Pa). Select the appropriate mode via the mobile app or remote control based on your cleaning needs.

Figure 5.2: The robot vacuum operating quietly, indicated by a fan icon and a sleep icon, demonstrating its low noise level suitable for use even when occupants are resting.
5.2 2-in-1 Sweeping & Mopping
The S7 MAX can sweep and mop. To use the mopping function, fill the 350mL water tank and attach the mopping pad. The robot automatically switches to mopping mode when the water tank is installed. Do not use the mopping function on carpets. If vacuuming carpets, remove the mop holder.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.
6.1 Dustbin and Filter Cleaning
The 600mL dustbin should be emptied and cleaned regularly, ideally after each use or at least once every two weeks, depending on usage. The HEPA filter should also be cleaned periodically by tapping out debris. Replace the HEPA filter every 3-6 months.
6.2 Water Tank and Mopping Pad
After mopping, empty any remaining water from the 350mL water tank and allow it to air dry. Clean the mopping pad thoroughly after each use. It is recommended to wash the mopping pad by hand or machine wash on a gentle cycle.
6.3 Brushes and Sensors
Regularly check and clean the main brush and side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Use the provided cleaning tool to cut and remove hair. Wipe the robot's sensors (cliff sensors, anti-collision sensors, Lidar sensor) with a clean, dry cloth to ensure accurate navigation.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SmartAI S7 MAX, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
